Athletes Enjoy National Championships 2003 At Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield

Athletes from Vale Royal Athletic Club were in action at the weekend at Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield for the Amateur Athletics Association Championships (UK Championships) for the Under 15 and Under 17 Age group.

Becky Ellis contested the 3000 metres where she gained a bronze medal with a time of 10.07 minutes in the colours of blue and yellow for Vale Royal AC.

Natalie Abrams also of Vale Royal contested the Under 17 ladies triple jump where she jumped to a new personal best of 10.33 metres, increasing the personal best by twenty centimetres.  This has proved Natalie with plenty of motivation for a hard winters training after a months break, after a long competitive season.
