Mike Is Selected For England

Mike Weedall who has been a member of Vale Royal Athletic Club for a significant number of years has been called up for England Duty on the fells.

Mike will be competing at the World Championships in Germany against athletes from all over world.

Mike is absolutely delighted with his call up for his country and will be in action very shortly, after watching the World championships in Paris with some running mates from the club.

Club President Harry Evans was extremely pleased at the call up for Mike, as Mike has been running for well over 20 years and was the British Fell Running Champion in 1983.

Mike Weedall and Bernie Jones have been responsible along with other senior athletes in establishing a good group of athletes who enjoy light hearted banter and good team spirit in training sessions.
