Track Relay 2003 Record

Under 15 Girls 4 x 100m

Athletes from Vale Royal Athletic Club enjoyed the Cheshire Track Relay Championships 2003 with some very good performances.  The under 13 girls team of Ellie Moorhouse, Katie Howard, Kathy Stringer and Tamal Taylor gained a bronze medal in the final of the 4 x 100m.

The Under 15 girls 4 x 100m team of Sarah Clarke, Robyn Wainwright, Katie Balfour and Morgan Brown broke the Cheshire record which had been held for 15 years, with a new time of 59.8 seconds, taking 1/10th a second of the record.  The girls faced extremely tough competition from West Cheshire AC to win the title.

The Under 17 girls 4 x 100m team of Julie Hopley, Natalie Abrams, Kirsten Seward and Virginia Moorhouse passed the baton smoothly to gain the title and the gold medals on the podium.
