Stevie Wins Place To Compete For Great Britain
In World Cross Country Championships 2007
Well
Done Stevie!!!!!

Following a fantastic weekend for the
club at the British Cross Country Championships in Nottingham, Stevie
Stockton's excellent 3rd position in the U20 women's event has earned her a
place in the Great Britain team to compete in the
World Cross Country Championships in March 2007.
This is a huge
achievement for the Vale Royal AC athlete who is delighted at this opportunity
to compete in Kenya, the home of fantastic cross country runners. Stevie
departs for Kenya on 21st March where she will compete in the extreme heat of
the African countryside, a hugely significant contrast to the wet and muddy
conditions of Britain.
The club are hugely
delighted for this athlete who works very diligently in training with a lot of
focus and is always ready to go the extra bit in training to make sure she is
fully prepared for events, and this is one of the reasons why she is a very
good athlete according to coaches at the club. Club President Harry
Evans praised the attitude of the athlete and wishes her all the best at the
World Championships.
