Vale Royals Marcus
Crompton ran a personal best ever for the marathon when he ran the
Snowdonia Marathon in a very good time of 3.18.58.
In very wet
conditions and on a VERY hilly course it was a brilliant run from Marcus.
Nic Archer ran in
the Great South Run at the weekend and finished in 12th place.
Nic finished the 10 mile race in 58 mins and was given the same time as Olympic Marathon runner Liz Yelling. Indeed all the ladies who finished ahead of Nic were Internationals.

In the Manchester
and District Cross Country League at Manchester on Saturday, Gavin
Tomlinson finished in a brilliant 5th place. Also running were Mike
Weedall, Stuart Doyle, Bernie Jones, Tom Annabell, Graham Miles, Glyn
Evans and Colin Rathbone. With six in the top sixty it's a really good
start for the senior men in the league.
Mary Tavener ran
in the senior ladies and Andrew Miles in the under 15 boys.
