The UK Schools games were held over the weekend at Bath and Bristol. The huge event included most sports and had selected competitors from the nine English regions and the Celtic countries.
In Athletics there was only one athlete per event from each area.

Vale Royal's Rebecca Craigie ran for the North West in the 1500 mtrs and finished in a brilliant second place in a time of 4min 23.21s.

Rebecca's  time is the second fastest in the UK this year and is a new Vale Royal record for u17s.

The race was won by Ciara Mageean from Northern Ireland in 4min 21.2s with Beth Potter from Scotland in third place in a time of 4min 27.1s.
