Silver Medal at National Cross Country Relays

 

The National Cross Country Relays took place in Mansfield on Sunday. Over 900 teams were entered on the day.
Vale Royals stunning u17 ladies squad of Nikki Meadows, Kathy Stringer and Rebecca Craigie took silver medal, another first for the club. Rebecca ran the Second fastest time of the day with Nikki and Kathy's times also in the top 15 fastest.
The Vale Royal second team of Charlotte Mills, Milly Ashworth and Gemma Mayled finished in 33rd place.
 
The Clubs u13 boys of Patrick Stradling, James Ikin and Nathan Tipping finished in 24th out of 64 teams. This was the best ever result for the Vale Royal u13s.
 
The u15 girls had an amazing three teams in the top thirty out of seventy two teams!
The first Vale Royal team of Tessa McCormick, Claire Perry and Megan Huxley finished in 6th place.
Hannah Bishop, Amelia Pettitt and Lucy Whittick finished in 23rd place, and the third team of Bryony Archdeacon, Jessica Lee and Kate Moulds finished in 28th place, ahead of a lot of A teams from big cities.
 
The u15 boys of Andrew Miles, Tom Marsden and Mike Vennard finished in 44th place, and the second Vale Royal team of Lewis Healey, Matthew Jakeman and Josh Boyce finished in 72nd.
 
Vale Royals u17 boys of Andrew Clews, Andy Perry and Ed Crowther finished in 48th place.
 
The Junior Men's  team of James Stringer, James Griffiths and Chris Perry finished in 36th place.

The Senior Men's team finished in 96th place out of 151 finishing teams and ahead of lots of A teams. They were the only Cheshire team in the Championship.
