Top Teams at the Northern X/C

VRAC enjoyed team success at this year's Northern Cross Country Championships held at Witton Park in Blackburn on Sat 23rd Jan.
With top spots for the U20 and U17 Womens teams, and 2nd places for the U20 Men and U15 Girls .

There were also some excellent individual performances.
The best ones being from Rebecca Craigie with a 3rd in the U20 Women's event,
and Matthew Sheen in the U13 Boys who also finished 3rd out of a field of 184.

Other top 10 finishers were:
Megan Huxley, 6th in the U17 Women
Jess Parsons, 6th in the U13 Girls
Nikki Meadows, 7th in the U20 Women

The winning U20 Women's team was:
Rebecca Craigie (3rd)
Nikki Meadows (7th)
Kathy Stringer (15th)
Kate Howard (26th)

The winning U17 Women's team was:
Megan Huxley (6th)
Charlotte Mills (16th)
Lucy Whittick (18th)
Hannah Paver (19th)

The U20 Men's team was:
Andy Clews (15th)
Chris Perry  (18th)
Zach Cross (36th)
Ed Crowther (37th)

The U15 Girl's team was:
Tess McCormick (15th)
Jade Evans (21st)
Amelia Pettitt (36th)
Kate Moulds (65th)

This represents the best ever performance by the Club in these Championships and is a credit to all the hard training the athletes put in and the dedication of their coaches and their families.
