1st VRAC Pole Vault Record!
 

Eleanor Owen, daughter of VRAC coach Christine, did her 1st pole vault competition last week, representing Birmingham University/VRAC at a university competition at the Birmingham indoor arena.
There were four other universities competing - Loughborough, Bath, Brunel & UWIC.

Eleanor was third out of four competing in her event, clearing a height of 2metres 50cms.
Her coach - Mike Bull - said she is best beginner he has ever seen.

Eleanor is almost certain to represent her university in this event at the British University track finals in May of this year. This event is expected to be extremely popular this year, with great competition for places, as they are being held at new Olympic Stadium.
