Ruth Wins Vale Royal Council Sports Award Of The Year

Vale Royal AC athlete Ruth Willis has been nominated Vale Royal Young Sports Women of the year for her achievements in athletics, netball and hockey. 

Ruth is a multi talented athlete who competes for the club in discus, where she reached the English Schools Finals last year coming a very good 8th place in the final.  Ruth also plays for Winnington hockey team, despite only being 15 years of age.

John Watson, the throws coach at Vale Royal AC was delighted with the award for Ruth, saying that Ruth is committed to both her school work and sporting activities.  John went on to say that he was very pleased that Ruth`s  commitment was rewarded.
