Alex Wins 800m Race Live on BBC Grandstand In A Dash To the Line!!!

Alex Carter, Vale Royal Athlete and England International competed at the Aqua Pura International competition at Loughborough University (May 19th) and won in style.  Alex competed in a quality field against Jo Fenn (ENG) and Tasmin Lewis (AUS) which went to a photo finish.  Alex was in fifth place at the bell and boxed in by runners, however, on the last bend there was a space which allowed Alex to power down the straight. 

It was very, very close indeed and viewers who watched live on BBC Grandstand had to wait for the results of the photo finish.  Alex won the race with a time of 2.05 minutes and was interviewed live on BBC by former Olympic Champion Sally Gunnell.
