Under 11 Athletes Receive Norwich Shine Awards and Medals....

The Under 11 athletes at the club have for the last ten weeks worked very hard on their athletics skills to gain medals and certificates for their exertion.

The athletes were presented with their medals by Under 11 Coach Neil Templeman who after two years has bowed out to concentrate on the area of Jumps.   Neil Templeman was delighted with the achievements of the athletes and was equally pleased to see the athletes enjoy their medals and certificates, as well as the chocolate which was gulfed down at speed by the athletes.

In all 75 certificates were signed and presented to the athletes as well as 25 medals.  Neil spent a total of 12 hours of his spare time inputting the results in a CD-ROM which calculated the results, plus signing all the certificates for the athletes.

Neil Templeman would like to thank Natalie Abrams, Dave Copsey, Pauline Thom, Les Hitchen, Shaun McGrath and Kate Spilsbury for all their judging in the awards.

Neil Templeman would also like to pay particular thanks to Natalie Abrams who has assisted in the coaching of the Under 11 athletes every week, as well as sports hall competitions over the last 18 months.  Natalie was presented with a trophy for her commitment by two Under 11 athletes and can be seen in the white in the photo above.  Natalie will continue to work with the Under 11 athletes when Billy and Pearl Hodkinson take over from Neil Templeman from 6th April 2004.
