Under 11 Athletes Pleased With

Certificates And Medals

The under 11 athletes were delighted with their certificates and medals for the Shine Awards scheme which is a national scheme organised by UK Athletics.  The scheme is based around athletics events, yet based on the emphasis with fun, fun, fun being the key idea.

Neil Templeman was the organiser for the awards, which for the third year running has seen success follow success with athletes running, jumping, throwing and sprinting to achieve the awards.  The good thing about the awards is that the athletes have all found an event they were good at, such as throwing a javelin or standing long jump etc.

Neil Templeman would like to thank Harry Evans, Shaun McGrath, Billy and Pearl Hodkinson, Natalie Abrams, Kate Spilsbury, Dave Copsey, Pauline Thom and Les Hitchen for all their hard work with the athletes over the last six months.

The athletes have thoroughly enjoyed the awards for which they each got a Triathlon Award, Pentathlon Award as well as a Decathlon Award with a medal.
