Cheshire Youth Games 2005

The Cheshire Youth Games 2005 were held on Saturday 25th June at Ellesmere Port where Neil Templeman and Kate Spilsbury of VRAC were team managers for the team of Vale Royal Borough Council Athletics Team (Years 5/6).

The team included athletes from local schools in Vale Royal who had competed in trials and trained for 10 weeks in order to be selected for the games and compete against other teams within the county of Cheshire.

The day was greatly enjoyed by the team managers and athletes who wore the colours of purple and participated each in a run, jump and throwing event, along with a relay each.

This is the sixth year that Vale Royal Athletic Club have been involved with the games and will continue to do so next year keeping in with tradition of the games.

The training sessions were assisted by Shaun McGrath (Middle  Distance Coach) along with Hannah Weedall and Vicky Jones (athletes) who fully enjoyed the training sessions.  Many thanks for all your help with the sessions.
