Excellent Results At Cheshire/North West

Road Relays Championships 2005

The North west and Cheshire road relays were held at Blackpool on Saturday 15th September where the club has a great time in windy conditions around Stanley Park.  The event held the North West Championships and also the Cheshire Road Relays Championships at the same venue.

Vale Royal Senior men finished in 15th Place overall out of fifty nine teams and the team of Stephen Mitchell, Gareth Williams, Graham Miles and John Telford picked up the Cheshire Silver medal finishing one place behind Wilmslow.

Vale royal u17 boys Tom Heaward,James Griffiths and Glen George finished 3rd in the North West and took gold in the Cheshire championships which was an excellent achievement.

The clubs second team of Chris Perry, Lee Davenport and Mike Carroll took the Cheshire silver behind the gold winning team of Vale Royal.

The U15 Boys  James Stringer, Andrew Clews and Andrew Perry took Cheshire bronze and finished 17th in the North West, which again is a pleasing achievement.

Vale Royals Under 17 girls Hannah Weedall, Laura Lambert and Stevie Stockton took both the North west of England title and the Cheshire championship to win both titles and all the three girls were in the top five times for the relays.

Vale Royals second team of Louise Bosson, Rachel Clews and Lorna Timms picked up the Cheshire bronze medal behind the gold medal winning of Vale Royal team mates.

The under 15 girls team of Kathy Stringer, Nikki Meadows ,Kate Howard and Chloe Bithell took Cheshire Silver and finished 7th in the north west.

Vale royals under 13 girls Nina Scott- Smith, Robyn Ellis and Hannah Paver took Cheshire silver and finished 15th in the North west.

Club Coaches Andy Carter and Shaun McGrath were delighted with the achievements of all the athletes and are looking forward to a hard winter training on the fields around Vale Royal in order to prepare for the cross country season once again.
