Club Mark Folder
Nearly Ready For Submission

Over
the last six months Harry Evans and Neil Templeman have worked on the 'Club
Mark' Scheme which the club has to fulfil to show the club is a athlete
friendly club and has policies and guidelines in place for safety of
athletes.
The
charter mark scheme looks at Safety of athletes, the coaching programme at
the club, equality within the club, how the club is organised.
The
club has to achieve a satisfactory mark in all of the areas mentioned above,
and there will be a site visit by an assessor during the summer months to
assess the club against the select criteria.
The
folder will be submitted to the assessor at the end of March 2005, which
will contain codes of conducts for athletes, parents or carers as well as
coaches, diversity statements, development plans, risk assessments,
emergency response to an accidents to name just a few.
As a
result of this the web site will soon have two areas that will be password
protected. One will be for athletes with an induction booklet, rules
for safety and other items of information.
The
second password protected area will be for Coaches to access risk
assessments, development plans, code of conduct, discplinary procedures and
other items associated with coaching.
