Stevie Gets Call Up To England

Team For Trip To Italy

Stevie Stockton  has been called up to the England Schools Cross Country Team, the second call up in a week, after Hannah Weedall was called up for the team.

Stevie is delighted with the call up and will now be going with Hannah to Italy on 8th April to contest the World Schools Cross Country Championships in the hilly mountains of Northern Italy.

Stevie who is the North of England Cross Country Champion was in action yesterday at the Inter counties running for Cheshire, where she gained a bronze medal in cold conditions to win her call up for England.

Shaun McGrath and Andy Carter (middle distance coaches) were over the moon with the two call ups and argued that the girls had trained diligently over the winter months and persisted with training in all weathers which has obviously paid off with the trip to Italy for the two team mates.

Club President Harry Evans was extremely pleased for the girls and wishes them the best of luck whilst on the trip and hopes they have a great time in Italy.
