Hanna Enjoys Sport Cheshire Awards Evening 06

Hanna Hewitson enjoyed the Sport Cheshire Awards Evening 2006 in October at Mere Golf Club where awards were handed out to athletes, clubs and coaches for a year of performances.

Hanna was one of five nominees for the award of Best Young Sports Performer Of The Year for her year of outstanding achievements in the sport of triple jumping where she broke records at County and North of England level winning medals at National Championships.  Hanna also topped the British Rankings for both indoor and outdoor rankings to top off a truly fantastic season.

Hanna did not win the award but was very pleased to be a nominee and fully enjoyed the evening with parents and coach Neil Templeman in attendance.

Hanna is now going on a Children In Athletics Course at the end of October to kick start her campaign as a Young Ambassador For Sport on behalf of Youth Sport Trust and Kelly Holmes.  Once this has been attended Hanna will be going into schools to encourage youngsters to participate in athletics and to join the club.
