Hanna Invited To Join Peter Stanley At UK Training Squad Sessions For Triple Jump

Another Vale Royal AC athlete has been invited to attend National Training camps which national coaches after a very successful season.  This follows on from the success of two middle distances members who attended a national training camp in the summer, namely Stevie Stockton and Rebecca Craigie.

Hanna Hewitson has had a great season both indoors and outdoors for 2006 breaking North of England records both indoors and outdoors along with County records and winning medals at all three of the major championships this year. 

Peter Stanley who guided Jonathon Edwards to the Gold Medal at the Sydney Olympics In Australia has invited Hanna to train at four different weekends over the winter at Loughborough University.  Hanna is naturally delighted and will be training with top athletes in all age groups from the Under 17 to athletes at National and International level, who are preparing for the 2008 Olympics.

Coach Neil Templeman is also equally delighted as this will provide Hanna with added motivation over the hard winter months of heavy conditioning and technical input with regards to triple jump.

Club President Harry Evans was very pleased for Hanna and congratulated her on being invited to the national squad which really put some focus on her training and really motivate her to train well over the winter months.
