Annual Presentation Evening
Each year since the club came into operation in April 1994 the club has held very successful presentation evenings with guests including Olympic Champions, European Champions, Ex Olympic Athletes and leading members of society.
Ann Packer who won Olympic Gold in 1968 at 800 metres and Robbie Brightwell who was European Champion at 400 metres in 1970 were great guests for the club. Members were impressed with their medals and took part in a Q &A session. Andy Carter who came 5th at the 1972 Olympics has also been an inspiring guest at presentation evenings along with Norman Matthews, the England Fell Running Team Manager.
Other leading members of society who have been guests are the Chief Constable of Cheshire, Peter Fahy where many members of the club are police officers and police staff of the force. Sports Editor of the Chronicle papers has also been a guest for the presentation evening in the past, a great supporter of the club.
The presentation evening is one of the highlights of the year where each year over 150 athletes and parents attend to receive prizes for best achievements in various age groups along with the presentation of the shine awards to junior athletes.
