Great Weekend at the Northern Athletics U17/U15 Champs
 

There were some stunning performances by Vale Royal athletes at the Northern Athletics U17/U15 outdoor track and field championships held at Wavertree, Liverpool over the weekend.

Amy Hinchly won the North of England 1500m on Saturday. In a tactical race Amy beat English Schools and International Rosie Johnson in a time of 4.44.09 and Rosie's time was 4.44.29.

Elliot Bowker repeated the performance on Sunday when himself an International he won the 1500m beating international Patrick Dever from Preston to take the Northern gold in 4.10.42, Dever's time was 4.10.48 with third place Daniel Lawton from Trafford in 4.10.83 - what a result!!

12 year old Ben Lee had a go in the U15 800m and learned a lot from running against boys nearly 3 years older, finishing in 8th place.
