Champions and Medallists


Vale Royal AC has had great success at North of England Level with athletes of all disciplines winning championship titles.

Alex Carter, Tom Carter, Becky Ellis, Lydia Morgan, Will Lowdnes, Morgan Brown, Hayley Jones, Stevie Stockton and Hanna Hewitson have all won North of England Championship titles over the years.

Becky Ellis  won championship titles at 1500 metres and 3000 metres. 

Morgan Brown  won the U15 girls  North of England 200 metres title (indoor) in 2004 with a new championship record.

Hayley Jones won North of England titles indoors and outdoors with North of England records for indoors at 60 metres and 200 metres.  Hayley has also won 100 metres titles outdoors and 300 metres titles both indoors and outdoors.


Hanna Hewitson has won championship titles for triple jump, both indoor and outdoor to set championships records.  Hanna is the only athlete in the jumps discipline to win back to back indoor titles, with a championship record in the process. Hanna is the record holder for outdoors which she shares with another athlete, which is extremely rare for two athletes to jump to the same record in a championship meet.

Stevie Stockton has been in winning form at the 3000 metres in the U17 ladies age group where she won the North Of England title in 2005.


Other medalists:

Claire Wright  silver in the high jump, Lee Davenport ( 400 metres), Morgan Brown (200 metres), Laura Lambert ( 800 metres), Beth Carter ( 800 metres) Helen Williams silver in the triple jump. Hayley Jones ( silver medals in the 200 metres and 400 metres in the U20 age group at the outdoor championships.)


Bronze medalists:

Helen Williams three bronze medals in the triple jump, Laura Lambert (800 metres), Tom Stringer (U17 men 400 metres hurdles to become the first hurdler at the club to win a major championships medal).
