Vale Royal Athletic Club has a thriving senior section where the seniors mainly participate in cross country and road running with some athletes taking part in fell running as well as ultra distance running. The seniors usually train together in a large group which caters for athletes of varied abilities.
Athletes range from beginners to some very experienced runners who have been running for twenty years or more but who are more than happy to help and advise the novices
Runners from the club take part in marathons (New York, London, Paris and Hawaii) and half marathons, 10K, 5K races all throughout the North West and different parts of the country.
The club has a reputation for producing male runners who have won county championships in track relays as well as Cheshire Cross Country titles over the years.
The club's female runners have also had a major impact on the road running scene in the North West area, where the ladies team won the British Half Marathon Championships Team Title in 2003 and the Cheshire Grand Prix Series 2003.
The seniors also have their own web site.....
